Cost Engineer, and a past Associate Professor and Associate Dean of of the faculty of Sustainable Development at Bond University. Author of two books: one (published by UCT Press) one presented a new theory for risk-based pricing, and the other (widely adopted by the auto industry – having sold 5000 copies) on tax-efficient cars. Experience includes software development, and both startup and corporate management (incl. IBM). Previously the Founder and CEO of a ‘DotCom’ business in SA that listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). David is an honorary Fellow in Engineering at Newcastle University and a Director of the UCT Australia Trust.
